Oscar and Grammy winning film composer of LORD OF THE RINGS and THE HOBBIT films, SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, PHILADELPHIA, MRS. DOUBTFIRE, HUGO, THE DEPARTED, ED WOOD and others.

Award-winning film composer Howard Shore joins Peabody Award-winning broadcaster Elliott Forrest on stage in Nyack to discuss his long and amazing career. Film clips will be featured and highlight his work from being the first Music Director of Saturday Night Live to film work with directors David Cronenberg, Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton, Tom Hanks, Jonathan Demme and Peter Jackson. They will also discuss Mr. Shore’s influences by film composers of the past. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for those who love the power and creativity of film music.
