The “Lord of the Rings” trilogy has celebrated sensational successes worldwide in recent years with the “In Concert Live to Film” series. In the spring of 2024, the first part of the trilogy in Munich performed to a sold-out Olympiahalle with an enthusiastic audience. In 2025, the second part of the epic now can also be experienced for the first time as a film concert in the Olympiahalle. In “The Two Towers” the journey of the companions continues: Frodo and Sam meet Gollum, while Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli go in search of the kidnapped hobbits Merry and Pippin. At the same time, the threat from Saruman and Sauron becomes ever greater, leading to dramatic twists and turns and epic battles.
This breathtaking adventure can be experienced in the complete original version on the cinema screen, while the Munich Symphony Orchestra with the TUM choir, the Wolfratshausen children’s choir and soloists perform the unique film music of Oscar winner Howard Shore live and precisely. One of the most successful film adaptations in the history of cinema thus becomes a multimedia experience whose emotional power culminates in the grandiose live music and which no one can escape.
